You are invited to participate in and/or witness our new evening length work, Lost & Found, April 30th – May 7th.
Lost & Found is chapter 5 of the Wandering Ensemble’s Wandering in the Wilderness project, directed by Eric Kupers and created collaboratively by Dandelion Dancetheater and the CSUEB Inclusive Interdisciplinary Ensemble.
Lost & Found will take shape as a multi-layered structured improvisation performance at El Rio bar in San Francisco on April 30th and May 7th , 8 – 9pm, as part of the 2025 SF International Arts Festival.
Lost & Found explores multiple perspectives on the losses of the last five years as well as emerging futures arising out of the wreckage of old systems, institutions, beliefs, and habits.
Inclusive Dance, Music, Theatre, Ritual, Storytelling, and Spectacle weave an immersive performance ceremony guiding participants and witnesses towards vibrant aliveness.
Everyone is invited to watch and listen as they hang out at the bar. In addition, there will be simple improvisational structures for those who would like to come early each evening to learn (during inclusive performance workshops from 6 – 8pm as well as other times TBA). There is also the opportunity for more in-depth involvement for those who would like to join some rehearsals either online or in-person between now and then.
The larger Wandering in the Wilderness project will take 40 years to create, with new performance experiments each year along the way. If you’re interested to learn more check out our evolving info HERE and/or contact: eric.ray.kupers@gmail.com
Lost & Found will also be performed at CSU East Bay in alternate formats on April 29th and May 14th from 8 – 9:30pm, with community workshops from 6 – 8pm each night. Exact locations and other details TBA.
