Rehearsals and Performances

            Weekly Rehearsals

  • Advanced Dance/Theater Partnering Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 2:30 – 4:10pm, in-person at CSUEB (in either the PE 140 Dance Studio or onstage in the University Theatre), Jan. 17th – March 7th;
  • Taiko Rehearsals as part of Seiryo Taiko Practice: Tuesdays, 6 – 7pm, in-person (in either the PE 140 Dance Studio or onstage in the University Theatre), Jan. 17th – Feb. 28th;
  • Wandering Ensemble In-Person Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 7:15 – 9:30pm, , in-person (in either the PE 140 Dance Studio or onstage in the University Theatre), Jan. 17th – Feb. 28th;
  • Wandering Ensemble online Rehearsals: Thursdays, 7 – 9pm, on zoom, Jan. 19th – March 2nd;

Tech/Dress Rehearsals (these are required for everyone—but exceptions can be made for particular circumstances if you communicate early on about your needs)

  • Saturday, March 4th, 11am – 7pm (to set Lighting Cues)
  • Monday – Thursday, March 6th – 9th, 6 – 10pm
  • Thursday march 16th, 6 – 10pm, in-person at CSUEB University Theatre;

Performances (these are required for everyone—but exceptions can be made for particular circumstances if you communicate early on about your needs)

  • March 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th at 7:30-9:30pm (call time of 5:30pm), in-person at CSUEB University Theatre;
  • March 19th at 2 – 5pm (call time at 12 noon, and for this performance we have an hour of clean-up time afterwards), in-person at CSUEB University Theatre;

Los Angeles Tour:

April 6th – 9th to Highways Performance Space

Pre-tour rehearsal on Tuesday April 4th from 6 – 9:30pm

Course Credit

Current CSUEB students should sign up for DANC 360 (1 unit) or DANC 362 (2 units) and attend at least one weekly rehearsal session for EACH unity you sign up for. It’s great if you can attend more than that or even attend all of them.

For Participating Choreographers/Directors

Make sure to meet with Eric early and often to confirm what section you are in charge of and what is evolving around and within your section. This production will be changing constantly as it evolves, so please stay flexible and pro-active.

Ideally all music to accompany your performance material will be played live by Ultrasonic Current and/or others in the ensemble. If you would really like to use recorded music, it should be non-commercial, non-familiar music to mainstream audiences. Some exceptions are possible, but please communicate about your needs in this area early on.
